Our 2025 Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Tuesday,March 4, at 10 a.m. The history of the Gulf Shores Mardi Gras parade dates back to 1978 when a group of locals decided Gulf Shores needed a parade. Those locals formed the Pleasure Island Players and thus Mardi Gras began in Gulf Shores. Gulf Shores Mardi Gras Parade. Originated in 1978 by the local Pleasure Island Players, the City of Gulf Shores takes the lead these days in organizing its Mardi Gras parade on Fat Tuesday. Featuring the Mystic Order of Shiners, the oldest Mardi Gras parading order in Baldwin County, the parade has continued to grow each year. As the Gulf Coast gears up for the 2025 Mardi Gras season, the communities of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Foley are finalizing preparations for parades and festivities spanning multiple days. Featuring colorful floats, marching bands, and family-friendly events, the region's celebrations have started and culminate on Fat Tuesday, March 4, drawing locals and visitors alike into the streets 10 a.m. — Gulf Shores Parade; This is the current parade schedule for Mardi Gras 2025.
