Mardi Gras World is open 7 days a week, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, with the first admission beginning at 9:00am and last admission at 4:30pm. Mardi Gras World is closed on Christmas and Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, Easter and Mardi Gras Day. For directions, visit our Getting Here page > Since 1947, our artists and craftsmen have designed and built the oldest and biggest parade floats and attractions for each Mardi Gras season, with over 500 floats built and decorated each year. When you begin your Mardi Gras World tour, you’ll get an overview of the history of Mardi Gras in New Orleans before continuing through our float den New Orleans, LA 70130. Parking is available in Lot G (355 Henderson St.) for a fee of $23. Take the Streetcar. The streetcar is one of New Orleans’ oldest forms of transportation and is a great way to tour New Orleans when you’re done touring Mardi Gras World. Just hop on a streetcar for a small fee and ride it to the Canal Street Station. The visit definitely provides a bird’s eye view of the Mardi Gras process. Visiting Mardi Gras World makes for a wonderful way to enjoy Lundi Gras, Mardi Gras, or any other time. Just remember that you have plenty of time to visit because Mardi Gras 2025 will not take place until March 4th of next year.
