Northshore Parades: Mardi Gras 2025 in St. Tammany. Around the world, Louisiana is known for Mardi Gras and the parades and parties that accompany the occasion. As carnival celebrations continue across Louisiana, residents in St. Tammany Parish are reveling in the Mardi Gras spirit. Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, will next be celebrated in Louisiana on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Parades will begin in many locations in January. Mardi Gras is always on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. 2025 Mardi Gras Parade Schedule. Who’s ready to ‘Let the Good Times Roll’?! Carnival season has arrived, bringing parades, traditions, and festive fun! Whether you’re on the Northshore or Southshore, there’s a lineup of incredible parades heading your way. Check out this year’s schedule and start planning for all the excitement ahead! SLIDELL, La. — The 2025 Carnival season kicked off on January 6, and Krewe of Antheia is set to roll on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. The parade starts at the corner of Pontchartrain and Spartan Mardi Gras weekend starts heating up on February 14, when the Krewe Bohème rolls through the French Quarter at 7 PM. On the Northshore , the Krewe of Titans parades through Slidell at 6:30 PM . On Mardi Gras in southwest Louisiana, some people will take part in the Cajun French tradition of the Courir de Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday Run. These rural processions, with links to rituals from medieval France, feature masked and costumed riders, with stops where participants perform and beg for goods. Algiers Mardi Gras Parade and Festival. The Algiers Mardi Gras Parade and Festival will be back on Saturday, February 1 at New Orleans Federal City in Algiers. Entertainment will include Brass-A-Holics, Amanda Shaw, The U.S. Marine Reserve Jazz Band and more. The parade starts at 9 a.m. and the Festival begins at 10 a.m. Mardi Gras Day on the Northshore begins at 10 a.m. with the 24-float Carnival in Covington. More than 450 riders will celebrate with the theme, "This and Dat." Float titles include Red Beans and Rice with Abita Roasting, Crawfish and Beer with St John's Fools of Misrule, and Lady and the Tramp with Southern Hotel. Mardi Gras in New Orleans is a vibrant celebration, with each krewe presenting unique themes through elaborate parades.
