The Covington Police Department is pleased to announce route, parking, and safety information for the annual Carnival in Covington Mardi Gras Day celebration, starting with the Covington Lions Club parade, Mystic Krewe of Covington parade, and the Krewe of Bogue Falaya parade, scheduled to roll on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. Mardi Gras Day on the Northshore begins at 10 a.m. with the 24-float Carnival in Covington. More than 450 riders will celebrate with the theme, "This and Dat." Float titles include Red Beans and Rice with Abita Roasting, Crawfish and Beer with St John's Fools of Misrule, and Lady and the Tramp with Southern Hotel.
